Most companies in Europe offer students part-time jobs every now and then. Several institutions encourage students to work part-time jobs to supplement their income and pay for their tuition.



But also to give them training and equip them for the job market. Students who decide to work have rules and regulations to follow as per the rules of the university.

As a non-European citizen, you will have the same right to work while studying as a national of that country. Some countries place restrictions on the number of hours visa-holders can work.

Students can study and work in Austria without a work visa as long as they are enrolled in an Austrian university. Undergraduate students must work 20 hours per week, whereas postgraduate students must work 10 hours per week.

Students are allowed to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week. Jobs available for students in France include cashiers, personal tutors, and dog walkers amongst others.

In Hungary, students are allowed to work without work permits. Working hours is 4 hours a day and 24 hours a week during the semester. They are allowed to work full time during vacation.

Italy allows its students to work while studying in universities with a valid visa and a residential permit. Amounting to 4 hours a week and 20 hours a week.
