The University of Ghana (Legon) admission forms for Undergraduate and Postgraduate applicants for the 2022/2023 Academic year have been released.

Note this: before applying, all prospective students should go to the University's website,
www.ug.edu.gh, and thoroughly study all pertinent information and rules for prospective students.
All applicants who will take the WASSCE in May/June 2022 are eligible.
When purchasing the e-voucher, applicants are requested to pick up a complimentary copy of the University of Ghana prospectus from the Bank.
Except for those offered at the School of Allied Health Sciences, all programs at the College of Health Sciences are first-choice only.
Applicants must select courses from the Sciences as their second and third options.
Applicants are accepted directly into the various programs offered by the College of Basic and Applied Sciences. Applicants are required to rank up to four (4) options in order of preference.
Applicants who choose B.Sc. Administration or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) as their first choice are highly urged to choose bouquets from the Bachelor of Arts programs as their second choice in order to improve their chances of admission.
Applicants for the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program must choose subjects from a list of choices offered. Select up to four (4) subject bouquets in order of choice.
Students joining the BA program must take three (3) Level 100 topics, two (2) Level 200 and Level 300 subjects, and either two (2) or one (1) Level 400 subject.
Qualified Bachelor's degree applicants on the Legon Campus who do not meet the Admissions Board's competitive cut-off points for admission to selected programs of study may opt for the Fee-paying Scheme. Applicants who are interested must select this option on their application forms.
With effect from the 2017/2018 academic year, mature students admission has been reinstated in the Bachelor of Arts Distance Education (DE) Program.
On purchase of the University of Ghana application e-voucher, all applications must be submitted ONLINE at
http://admission.ug.edu.gh.
The following qualifications are acceptable for admission:
SSSCE/WASSSCE stands for Senior Secondary School Certificates.
Baccalaureate degree (French)
Baccalaureate International (IB)
Cambridge GCE ‘A' and ‘O' Levels
A Levels and GCSEs
Grade 12 tests in the United States
External qualifications that are comparable to the WASSSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (A Levels). All students will be admitted to Level 100.
All applicants who attended or graduated with a certificate or diploma from the University of Ghana between 1996 and the present should include their **STUDENT IDENTITY NUMBERS** on their application forms. If accepted, the same number will be used in the specified program of study.
The University of Ghana has not admitted applicants holding the West African Examination Council's Ordinary and Advanced Level Certificates since the 2007/2008 academic year.
All applicants should be aware that the University of Ghana's admissions procedure is fairly transparent. Applicants should be wary of anyone who approaches them under the guise of assisting them in obtaining admission for a price.
Online application for the University of Ghana Ghanaian applicants can purchase e-vouchers for Gh 200.00 via USSD or at the following banks: Access Bank, Ecobank, Republic Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, Ghana Commercial Bank, Zenith Bank, Universal Merchant Bank, Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG), Prudential Bank, and Fidelity Bank.
